Georgian high school girl goes to war to Syria

A 17-year-old high school girl from the village of Djokola in the Pankisi Gorge went to war in Syria.

According to one of the teachers, the 17-year-old girl has not been attending classes for several days, and soon after that, her parents have reported that their daughter left the territory of Georgia.

Local residents reported that she went to Syria to meet her husband, who had left the Pankisi Gorge two years ago, the portal "Georgia Online" reports.

According to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the 17-year-old young woman "left home with parental consent and crossed the Georgian border in accordance with all the legal procedures," the "Echo of the Caucasus" reports.
