In Sochi, case of fire in dilapidated house brought to police
In Sochi, the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) has seen signs of deliberate destruction of property in fire in the dilapidated house and brought the case to the police.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 25, a fire occurred in the dilapidated house in No. 6 in Vinogradnaya Street, where nine families live. An inspector of the Sochi fire brigade, who visited the place of the fire, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the fire was caused by arson.
Let us remind you that in February, the Sochi authorities demanded from tenants of the house in Vinogradnaya Street to move to apartments allotted to them in new buildings. The tenants challenge the officials' claim in court. "We file a complaint to the police on the fact of arson, and we describe all the events in chronological order. Besides, we recorded on video the visits of officials to our place. On the records, they clearly told us that we were to vacate the land," said Fomina.
"I stayed homeless in my old age, without amassed belongings and clothes. The persons, who will benefit from evicting us from our house, are to bear responsibility for such things," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Lydia Pakhutova, a disabled pensioner.
It should be noted that, according to Evgeny Gorlov, the Deputy Mayor of Sochi, a park is to be arranged at the place of the dilapidated house in Vinogradnaya Street. However, the plans of the Mayor's Office are being prevented by the litigation with the house tenants, who do not want to leave it.
