Khodorkovsky associates searches in office of "Open Russia" with film about Kadyrov

The Moscow office of the public organization "Open Russia" (OR) was searched because of the documentary about Ramzan Kadyrov, said Mikhail Khodorkovsky, the founder of the OR.

According to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the searches of the premises of the OR's Moscow office have been held today "in connection with the received information that its activists were engaged in making and storing banners, flyers and other products, containing calls for extremist activities."

"Examination of leaflets has been made, and showed that they (leaflets) contain signs of calls for extremist activities," the TASS quotes a MIA source.

In his turn, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, the founder of the OR and the former head of YUKOS company, wrote in his "Twitter" that the above searches had to do with a film about the Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

"The real reason for the searches of the OR's office is in the film about Kadyrov's place in the current system of power. An obvious question then arises: who is the power?" Khodorkovsky has written.
