Police take politician Mikhail Abramyan away from Stavropol hospital
The police withdrew from the hospital Mikhail Abramyan, the Secretary of the Stavropol branch of the "Communists of Russia" Party, and took him away to some unknown destination. This was reported by colleagues of Mikhail Abramyan.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 11, in Stavropol, the court recognized Mikhail Abramyan, an activist of the "Communists of Russia" Party, guilty of disorderly conduct and sentenced him to a seven-day arrest. Mikhail Abramyan himself has called that a "provocation" and an attempt of the Stavropol authorities to subject him to pressure for his efforts to draw public attention to corruption activities of officials. The politician was hospitalized after sentencing.
"Today, at about 3:30 p.m., policemen discharged from the hospital Mikhail Abramyan, who was in hospital clothes and without shoes. Then, they forced him into an ambulance car and took him away to some unknown destination. I have asked the medical staff if Mikhail Abramyan with his current health state could be discharged from the hospital; however, I got no answer," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Eduard Marshankulov, the First Secretary of the Stavropol branch of the "Communists of Russia" Party.
This afternoon, Mikhail Abramyan himself has stated that the policemen tried to get him out of the hospital "without medical examination and report." "They are looking for a pretext to take me away from the hospital. I have lost control over my legs," Mikhail Abramyan has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent today at 12:57 a.m. Moscow time.
