Stavropol Court attaches examination of witnesses' testimonies to Kurman-Ali Baichorov's case

The Stavropol Regional Court has granted the motion filed by the defence of Kislovodsk Imam Kurman-Ali Baichorov to attach to the case materials the results of the psycho-linguistic examination of the testimonies given by prosecution witnesses.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 12, Kurman-Ali Baichorov was sentenced to 3.5 years of imprisonment in a common-security penal colony and a fine of 50,000 roubles on the charge for drug dealing. The defence appealed against the sentence.

At the court hearing, the defence has filed a motion to attach to the case materials the results of the psycho-linguistic examination of the testimonies of witnesses given by them against Kurman-Ali Baichorov during the investigation and trial.

According to advocate Alaudi Musaev, on October 23, 2014, Judge Oleg Popov of the Predgorny Court completed the judicial investigation and proceeded to debates in spite of the disagreement of the defender, who claimed being unable to provide the evidence of innocence of Kurman-Ali Baichorov.

In particular, according to the advocate, the defence did not have enough time to attach to the case material the characterization of his client and a number of other motions.

The judicial board has announced the decision to grant the motion filed by Alaudi Musaev and to attach the results of the psycho-linguistic examination to the case materials.
