Court re-arrests Tamerlan Eskerkhanov
The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has announced the decision to arrest until April 28 Tamerlan Eskerkhanov accused of the murder of Boris Nemtsov.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, Khamzat Bakhaev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, and Shagit Gubashev accused of involvement in the murder of politician Boris Nemtsov, have been brought to the court session, which was to decide on pre-trial restriction measure against them.
The Court has found reasonable the investigators' arguments on the need to take Tamerlan Eskerkhanov in custody for the period of preliminary investigation. Meanwhile, the defence arguments were found groundless.
Advocates offered to replace Tamerlan Eskerkhanov's arrest with a bail of a defendant's cousin, a home arrest or bail in the amount of one million roubles. The investigator and the prosecutor insisted on the arrest of Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and his isolation from society.
Judge Valentina Levashova has considered the investigators' arguments more convincing and announced the decision on the re-arrest.
