Car of MP Gasan Gasanov shelled in Dagestan

In the evening on April 3, in the village of Untsukul, the armoured car of Gasan Gasanov, a member of the Dagestani Parliament, was shelled; the MP was not hurt.

According to Gasan Gasanov, he was attacked in the village Untsukul, Untsukul District, on April 3 at 11:20 p.m. Unidentified attackers opened fire at his armoured "Toyota" car with Gasan Gasanov and several other persons inside.

"We remained safe only because the car was armoured; therefore, nobody was wounded. The car itself is damaged," Gasan Gasanov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his story, he has lodged his application to the Untsukul ROVD (District Interior Division) of Dagestan. "They promised that the incident would be investigated," said the MP of Dagestan.

He added that at night on December 20, 2014, he was beaten by unidentified persons. In her turn, Asiyat M., a resident of Untsukul, expressed doubts that the attack on Gasanov would be investigated. This is not the first attack on him. Despite the fact that the above beating happened in front of eyewitnesses, no proper investigation was conducted," the woman told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
