Investigators re-examine bottom of Moscow River to find pistol of Boris Nemtsov's killer
The bed of the Moscow River is being examined by divers in search of the pistol, from which Boris Nemtsov was killed. Pistols that have been found in the water earlier appeared to be irrelevant to the case.
Boris Nemtsov was shot and killed in Moscow on February 27. Five persons, including Zaur Dadaev, Anzor and Shagid Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, were detained on suspicion of involvement in the murder. They would not plead guilty.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 13, a source aware of the progress of investigation reported that at the bottom of the Moscow River, divers found two pistols near the bridge, where Boris Nemtsov was killed.
Neither of two pistols found in the Moscow River not far from the place of the murder was used to shoot and kill Boris Nemtsov. This was reported on March 29 by the "Bloknot" with reference to a source in the law enforcement agencies.
The weapon used by the killers of Boris Nemtsov has not been found yet, the source in the law enforcement agencies confirmed as quoted today by the "Interfax".
According to the source, to find the key evidence, investigators engaged a group of divers. For several days already, the divers have been examining the bottom of the Moscow River in the western and north-western part of the city in the direction of possible escape route of the criminals after the murder.
