US Attorney's Office completes presenting evidence in Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's case
On March 30, at the court hearing held in Boston, the US Attorney's office completed the presentation of evidence in the case against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, accused of organizing a terror act during the marathon in Boston in 2013. From the prosecution party, the court questioned the persons affected by the terror act, relatives of victims, law enforcers, physicians, and other experts. Besides, the Attorney's Office has also presented to the court various clues and demonstrated a large amount of video records, the TASS reports.
"Today, the attorneys tried to prove that out of all possible places, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev deliberately chose the place most crowded by children," Fatima Tlisova, a reporter of the "Voice of America", who reported about the court session, wrote in her microblog in the Twitter.
Since the beginning of the trial against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the tribune was occupied by the attorneys. According to Fatima Tlisova, more than 100 witnesses were questioned and thousands of evidences were presented.
The defence started the presentation of its evidence with a motion to acquit the client. "The defence claims that the attorneys failed to provide convincing evidence of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's guilt," Fatima Tlisova has written in her microblog.
