Resident of Dagestan lost in Makhachkala
Muslim Bakhmudov, a resident of the village of Tatlyar, Derbent District, disappeared during his trip to Makhachkala, where he went to visit his sisters. The police deny any involvement in his disappearance.
According to his relatives, Muslim Bakhmudov, born in 1993, disappeared on March 20, as Aisha Selimkhanova, an activist of the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy), told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"According to his relatives, in the afternoon on March 20, he went to visit his sisters in Makhachkala. He visited one sister, who lives in the area of the Northern Bus Station, from where he went to the other sister, but never reached her. No more information has ever arrived from him," said Selimkhanova, adding that on March 23 a stranger visited one of Muslim sisters and said that Bakhmudov was kept at the Kirov ROVD (District Interior Division). "When his relatives came there on March 24, they were told that he was not there," she said.
The Kirov ROVD and the on duty unit of the GOVD (City Interior Division) of Makhachkala did not confirm any information about Muslim Bakhmudov's possible detention to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
