Police seize weapons from car of persons killed in firefight in Khasavyurt

Policemen found a pistol and an RGO grenade in a car of the persons killed in a firefight with law enforcers that occurred in Khasavyurt.

It was reported that on March 25, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan, in Makhmudov Street in Khasavyurt, policemen were shelled in response to their request to stop a Lada Priora car. One of the attackers was killed at the place, and the other died from his wounds in a hospital. The killed men have been preliminary identified as Murad Mikhralov, born in 1987, and Shamkhal Salatkhanov, born in 1994, members of a terrorist grouping.

The policemen found inside the car of the killed men a traumatic pistol converted for firing with live ammunition, an RGO grenade with a fuse, and two backpacks with uniforms, the website of the Chief Department for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) of Russian MIA reports.

According to the MIA, field investigators have got the information that armed men use this car to move around the city.

According to the police, the third suspected participant of the firefight was in the car; however, he managed to escape.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that at night on March 16, regime of counterterrorist operation (CTO) was introduced in the Khasavyurt District and four other districts of Dagestan.
