In Dagestan, law enforcers conduct searches after introduction of CTO in Tsumadin District
The counterterrorist operation (CTO), which has been started in the morning in the Tsumadin District of Dagestan, is underway in the village of Kvanada and its surroundings. According to local residents, during the special operation, law enforcers carried out searches and burned an empty barn.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, at 4:00 a.m., the CTO regime was introduced in the Tsumadin District.
According to Magomedrasul Gagiev, the deputy head of the administration of the Tsumadin District, the introduction of CTO regime did not affected in any way the life of the village of Agvali, the centre of the Tsumadin District.
In his turn, Khadis Khizriev, the head of the village council, has reported on selected inspections carried out in the village of Kvanada.
According to a resident of the Tsumadin District, in the course of the special operation, a barn was set on fire in one of the farm yards.
Special operations to search for militants were repeatedly carried out in the Tsumadin District, and the local armed underground is considered to be one of the most active in the republic.
In summer, CTO regime was introduced in the Tsumadin District, and it was valid for more than two months: from June 25 till September 3, 2014. On July 11, 2014, in the village of Echeda, two persons were killed, who, according to law enforcers, used to be the leaders of the "Tsumadin" militant grouping.
