Karabakh contract soldier goes over to Azerbaijani side
Today, Andranik Grigoryan, a contract soldier of the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh, has gone over to the Azerbaijani side.
"Andranik Grigoryan, an ordinary contractor soldier, born in 1991, dropped his arms and ammunition, left his action post on the east direction of the line of contact, and moved to the Azerbaijani side," reported the press service of the Defence Ministry of Nagorno-Karabakh.
In its turn, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has confirmed the information that the soldier had gone over to the Azerbaijani side, the "Interfax" reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on December 27, 2014, the Azerbaijani MoD reported on the capture of an Armenian soldier. Meanwhile, officials from the Azerbaijani MoD have emphasized that soldier Arsen Bagdasaryan was detained while a sabotage group tried to enter the territory of Azerbaijan. On the same day, the Ministry of Defence of Nagorno-Karabakh has denied the statement concerning the sabotage group and noted that earlier, Arsen Bagdasaryan used to be a contract soldier, but later, he was removed from service in the armed forces.
