Residents of Vladikavkaz raise 153,700 roubles to send humanitarian convoy to South-Eastern Ukraine

An action in support of residents of South-Eastern Ukraine was held in Vladikavkaz. Prior to the event, activists raised 153,700 roubles for sending humanitarian convoy to South-Eastern Ukraine.

The action took place in Reunion Square; it was organized by the local branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF).

The organizers plan to use the raised money for organizing a humanitarian convoy to South-Eastern Ukraine, Chermen Zangiev, the Deputy Mayor of Vladikavkaz, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after the annexation of the Crimea by Russia and declaration of independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Ukrainian authorities launched a military operation against armed groups in Donbas. The warfare zone covered the districts bordering on the Rostov Region. In Minsk, on February 12, after the talks of the leaders of the "Norman Quartet" (Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany) and the meeting of the contact group, a set of measures was adopted aimed to enforce the Minsk agreements. The document provides for the introduction of the ceasefire regime; however, the parties are regularly declaring violations thereof.
