In Volgograd, organizer of march "Vesna" released from police station

Today, Anatoly Boltykhov, an organizer of the march "Vesna" (Spring) in Volgograd, has been released from the police station after two days of administrative arrest. He intends to appeal against the court's decision.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 27, in Volgograd, Anatoly Boltykhov, an organizer of the anti-crisis march "Spring", a coordinator of the "International Human Rights Alliance", was arrested for two days. According to the Fourth Police Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Volgograd, Anatoly Boltykhov was arrested for committing an administrative offense.

Tonight, a group of activists came to the special detention facility to meet Anatoly Boltykhov. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Mikhail Yasin-Panin, the head of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "ROD".

"We came here to meet Anatoly. However, he did not even come out from the gate. A police car entered the territory of the detention facility. Policemen forced Anatoly inside it and drove him away. He managed to shout out of a car window that he was being detained further," Mikhail Yasin-Panin has said.

Then, according to Mikhail Yasin-Panin, near the railway station, Anatoly Boltykhov was released from the police car.

Anatol Boltykhov himself has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he intends to go to Moscow to attend the funeral of Boris Nemtsov. He has also said he will challenge his arrest at the court.
