Action demanding Permyakov's transfer to Armenian party held in Yerevan

The protesters, who rallied in Yerevan in front of the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Armenia, have demanded to hand Valery Permyakov, accused of massacring the Avetisyan family, out to the Armenian party.

According to the protesters, their action was organized in response to the information, disseminated by Mikhail Ptitsyn, the Chairman of the North-Caucasian Military District Court (NCMDC) of the Russian Federation, that Permyakov's case will be considered by a Russian court.

If Ptitsyn's words are true, the protest in front of the GPO is senseless, said Vaginak Shushanyan, one of the protesters. In his opinion, they will have to demand particular actions from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

The TASS quotes the above Mikhail Ptitsyn saying that the Permyakov's case, like a number of other resonant cases, will be considered in the near future by the NCMDC.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that relatives of the Avetisyan family demanded to hand Permyakov out to the Armenian party.

Let us remind you that activists in Gyumri announced a start – from January 23 – of signature collection to the demand to give Permyakov out to law enforcement bodies of Armenia and amend the agreement on the presence of the Russian military base in Armenia.
