Darya Polyudova reports on deterioration of her health at SIZO

During the detention at the SIZO (pre-trial prison) of Krasnodar, the health state of Darya Polyudova has deteriorated. According to her, she was not exposed to pressure from power agents; however, she had a big problem with food at the SIZO.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 25, Darya Polyudova, one of the organizers of the failed march for federalization of Kuban, accused of calling for extremist activity and violation of the integrity of Russia, left the SIZO on recognizance not to leave in connection with the expiration of her detention.

According to Darya Polyudova, she was not subjected to abuse and torture by SIZO staff members. The activist has said she was kept in a double cell with a refrigerator and a TV set.

Darya Polyudova has reported that the SIZO inmates are provided with very bad food. During her arrest, she lost four teeth, and, besides, she began to suffer from a stomach illness, although she was healthy prior to her detention.

On February 25, Darya Polyudova was taken from the SIZO and brought home to her parents in the Cossack village of Poltavskaya by Victor Chirikov, a Krasnodar activist, a witness in her case.

According to him, the trial in the case against Darya Polyudova will be held in about three weeks. Victor Chirikov believes that the court will announce a verdict of guilty against Darya Polyudova.

The defence also does not rule out that the court will impose sentence in the term actually served by Darya Polyudova at the SIZO.
