Court in Chechnya restricts access to websites with instructions on making explosives

The Leninsky District Court of Grozny has ruled to restrict access to the two Internet websites, which posted instructions for making improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

"The appeal to the above court with a claim to ban access to two online resources, which posted instructions for making IEDs, was made by the republic's prosecutor's office," an employee of the prosecutor's office of Chechnya told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his story, the information placed on these resources is a serious threat, as it enables any person, who has no special skills, to produce explosives and make a bomb or a mine right at home from materials at hand. Therefore, the prosecutor's office filed the appropriate lawsuits to the Leninsky District Court of Grozny, which satisfied them in full.

The above source has also noted that after the court's ruling the local Internet providers must block the above resources.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 17 the court in Grozny restricted access to 85 web pages of the "VKontakte" social network, because they had posted extremist materials and caricatures on Prophet Muhammad.
