NKR's MoD accuses Azerbaijan of 1200 shootings during the week

As reported by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), on February 8-14, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire in the Karabakh conflict zone for more than 1200 times.

According to the MoD, during this period, Azerbaijani troops fired "over 15,000 shots from various types of small firearms, grenade launchers and mortars," at Karabakh positions.

"The advanced units of the Defence Army are confidently conducting their combat duty missions all along the line of contact of Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces, and, if necessary, undertake actions in response," said the press service of the MoD of the NKR.

In its turn, today, Azerbaijan has accused Armenia of 55 shootings during the last 24 hours.

The OSCE monitoring conducted on February 10 at the contact line of the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan passed without incidents. No ceasefire violations have been recorded, said the OSCE mission.
