Widow of suspected militants, who disappeared in Dagestan, returns home after questioning

Aybike Saygidalieva, a resident of the Dagestan village of Shamkhal, the widow of Magomedarip Magomedov, who was killed in August 2014, whose disappearance was reported by local rights defenders, has returned home after interrogation at the Kizilyurt Inter-District Investigating Division of the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

On January 15, Saygidalieva informed an activist of the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy) that for unknown reasons power agents tried to detain her and bring to the above Kizilyurt Investigating Division. However, later, the Division did not confirm the delivery of the woman there.

She told the "Caucasian Knot" that she was taken to the above division for interrogation in the case of her husband Magomedarip Magomedov, who was killed last August in a special operation.

"They asked me about my husband: when we got married; when we got acquainted; and who came to our home. They asked about particular people; but I know none of them. I know only one thing – that my husband was killed for nothing," she said.

According to her story, she was photographed at the investigating division; and now she fears that her data "will be added to the operative registration case."
