RSA's authorities demand to punish "Rostov" coach for racist statements

Today, Fikile Mbalula, the Sports Minister of the Republic of South Africa (RSA), and Danny Jordan, the head of the RSA's Football Association, have asked the FIFA to react to the statements of the head coach of the FC "Rostov" Igor Gamula, which he made on October 31 after defeating the "Urals" in the Russian Football Premier League.

Responding to the question on whether he would like to see the Cameroonian Benoit Angbva in his team, the "Rostov" head coach said: "We already have six black guys; do you want me to have the seventh one?" the "Interfax" reports.

Later, Gamula apologized to his footballers; however, the above RSA's officials still demand to punish him and "dismiss from all his posts."

"We expect that any country hosting the World Cup, like, in particular, Russia in 2018, should be hospitable to any nation or individual, regardless of his skin colour. Therefore, this sort of behaviour should be condemned in the strongest. The fact that it is repeated deserves serious sanctions," said Danny Jordan in his statement posted on the website of the Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) network.
