Frontier Service of Ukraine: one person wounded in shooting on border with Rostov Region

Today, Ukrainian border guards have registered a breakthrough of armed men in cars from the Rostov Region into Ukraine. Local patrol opened a fight with them, as a result, one person was wounded, the State Frontier Service of Ukraine has reported.

According to the Service, the incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. A convoy of several trucks, vans and passenger cars crossed the Ukrainian state border at 3:40; and the Lugansk Frontier Detachment met them with fire.

Border guards managed to capture a van and two cars; one of the entrants to the country was heavily wounded, the State Frontier Service of Ukraine reports. "The detained cars were full of with Kalashnikovs, LAWs (light anti-tank weapons) and explosives," says the statement of the Service posted on its website together with the photos of the minivan and confiscated weapons.

The Rostov Frontier Department of the Russian FSB has released a statement saying that they did not confirm this information, the "NTV" Channel reports.
