The participants of the action "Strategy-31", which was sanctioned by the authorities and held on March 31 in Rostov-on-Don, called on the authorities and law enforcement bodies to release political prisoners and ensure the freedom of assembly. These demands were directed by Pavel Nagibin, an activist of "The Other Russia" movement, as he himself explained, to the city administration, the regional court, prosecutor's office and the Investigating Department of the ICRF for the Rostov Region.
The actions entitled "Strategy-31" in defence of Article 31 of the Russian Constitution, which grants citizens the right to freely and peacefully assemble to express their opinions, are held regularly on the last day of each month, which has 31 days.
The action in Rostov-on-Don was attended by about 40 people – members of the "December 5 Party", "The Other Russia", "Left-Wing Front", United Civil Front (UCF) and civil society activists, Vladislav Ryazantsev, a participant of the action and the coordinator of the "Left-Wing Front" of the Rostov Region, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
