After fire, 43 persons appeal to Astrakhan authorities for help

Officials from the Astrakhan administration continue accepting appeals from victims affected by the fire that occurred on March 25. At present, it is known that 14 families consisting of 43 persons lost their housing.

Let us remind you that on March 25, a major fire occurred in Astrakhan. As a result of the fire, several low-rise buildings were burned. According to the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), the total area affected by the fire exceeded 2500 square meters.

In total, 10 buildings were damaged by the fire. Of them, eight were burned completely. This was reported by Viktor Rozhkov, the head of the Department for civil defence and disaster prevention of the Astrakhan administration.

The number of the burned apartments includes three municipal ones, and the Astrakhan administration will provide their residents with an equivalent housing under the conditions of the social rent. This was reported by the message published on the website of the city administration.

At present, teams of community services work on the streets in the area affected by the fire. They help residents to cope with the consequences of the accident.

Alexander Kamanin, Deputy of the Astrakhan Region Duma, has reported that, according to Article 95 of the Housing Code of the Russian Federation, citizens deprived their housing as a result of natural or man-made disasters are to be provided with housing in a building of reserve fund.
