Muzychko, accused of banditry in Chechnya, killed at detention by Ukrainian MIA agents

Alexander Muzychko, the coordinator of the "Right-Wing Sector" in Western Ukraine, who was put by Russian law enforcers on wanted list on charges of banditry in Chechnya, was fatally wounded at detention in the course of a special operation conducted by employees of the Ukrainian MIA. This was reported by Vladimir Evdokimov, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.

Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that Muzychko was killed at night on March 25 in the city of Rovno. This information was confirmed by Yaroslav Granitny, the chairman of the Rovno Regional UNA and a "Right-Wing Sector" activist, who said that Muzychko was among several persons kidnapped by unidentified men, and was the only one who was shot dead.

Three Muzychko's associates were detained during the above special operation and brought for questioning to Kiev, the UNN reports.

It is noteworthy that earlier another version of events was reported. According to the source from the press service of the Ukrainian's MIA for the Rovno Region, Muzychko was killed in a conflict between two groupings at night near the cafe "Djereltse" (Springlet) in the village of Barmaki, Rovno District, not far from his home.

Muzychko can be removed from the international wanted list, should the Russian competent bodies receive an official confirmation of his death, said a law enforcement source.
