In Yessentuki, investigators report about search for missing Imam Khubiev

Yessentuki investigators ask locals who know anything about the circumstances of disappearance of Shamil Khubiev, the Imam of the settlement of Mirny, to come and report to law enforcement bodies.

Shamil Khubiev, the Imam of the settlement of Mirny of the Predgorny District of the Stavropol Territory, disappeared on February 4 this year. According to the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of the Stavropol Territory, he left Uchkeken and was to come to the SAM's office in the city of Pyatigorsk; however, he never reached the Muftiat. His car was found on the road between Kislovodsk and Pyatigorsk.

Relatives of Shamil Khubiev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the police had not informed them about the activities related to the search.

As reported by the Investigating Department for the Stavropol Territory of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), a criminal case on Khubiev's disappearance is under inquiry.
