Ukrainian journalists are questioned and deported from Abkhazia

After hours of questioning, journalists of the Ukrainian "1+1" TV Channel Natalka Pisnya, a correspondent of the news service (TSN), and Sergey Kiselyov, a cameraman, were deported from Abkhazia. This was reported by Sergey Popov, the head of the TSN.

Let us remind you that on March 12, the Ukrainian crew stopped communicating from Abkhazia. The last thing reported by Natalka Pisnya to the managers of the TV Channel contained the information that she and Sergey Kiselyov was addressed by the administration of the hotel where they stayed and that they were asked not to leave prior to conversation with the security service of Abkhazia. After that, the crew was taken out of the hotel for questioning.

"After hours of questioning, Natalia Pisnya and Sergey Kiselyov were deported from Abkhazia," the "Observer" quotes Sergey Popov, the head of the TSN, as stating.

Till present, no details of the detention and questioning are available.

On March 12, in North Ossetia, another crew from Ukraine - Anna Boka, a correspondent of the "1+1" TV Channel, and Pavel Bondarenko, a cameraman of the same TV Channel - was detained. They were released after more than five hours of detention and questioning.
