Dagestani advocate states he is not admitted to detainee during CTO in Sovietskoe

The Magaramkent ROVD (District Interior Division) of Dagestan still keeps at least four men detained during the counterterrorist operation (CTO) held in the village of Sovietskoe. The advocate of one of them complains about non-admission to his client.

Let us remind you that on February 21 the Magaramkent District was put under the CTO regime. In the course of the house-by-house inspection law enforcers detained seven people in Sovietskoe. They were taken to the above Magaramkent ROVD. Relatives of the detainees assert that cartridges had been planted on them at detention.

The lawyer Murad Magalaev, who has concluded an agreement with the father of the detainee Said Gereikhanov, from the morning, could not see his client. "We are not let into the ROVD building. The investigator, whom I told via the on duty officer that I have an agreement on running the defence, said that my services are not needed. I called the on duty prosecutor of the republic. Not listening to me, he said that he could not speak because he was at the trial, and hung up the phone. The on duty district prosecutor was not in place; and the securities of the district prosecutor's office could not give me his phone number, although he must be accessible, since he is on duty. I will complain about both prosecutors," said the lawyer.
