Policeman wounded in shootout in KBR

A policeman was wounded in an attack on a mobile post of the road-and-post service (known as DPS) in the Baksan District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), a source from the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the above mobile DPS post was attacked around 9:00 p.m. near the villages of Dugulubgey and Kishpek.

According to the source, as of 11:00 p.m. the armed clash continues; and local police units were pulled together to reinforce the DPS staff. The district was put under the "Vulkan-4" operative plan.
