ICRF: terror act in trolley-bus in Volgograd was committed by male suicide bomber (video)

According to the preliminary information, an explosive device in a trolley-bus in Volgograd was activated by a male suicide bomber. This was reported by Vladimir Markin, Spokesman of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the explosion in the trolley-bus in Volgograd occurred on Monday morning. According to eyewitnesses, the trolley-bus was destroyed up to its metal frame. According to the Russian Ministry of Health, 28 persons were injured in the explosion. Sources report on 13 killed persons. The explosion was classified as a terror act.

"We can say preliminary that the explosive device was activated by a male suicide bomber, whose body parts are removed and sent to a genetic examination to identify him," the "Interfax" quotes Vladimir Markin as saying.

"Investigators believe that the time and place were chosen for a terror act not randomly, since in the mornings, a great number of people, including students of nearby educational institutions, always use this route near the Kachynsky market," the Spokesman of the ICRF has clarified.
