Suspected militant killed in house explosion in Dagestan

Today, a militant, blocked in a house in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, was killed as a result of the explosion. This was reported by a source from the district law enforcement bodies.

An improvised explosive device (IED) detonated in a house with militants blocked by law enforcers in the village of Petrakovskoe of the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan. According to the source, the law enforcers blocked three militants. When offered to surrender, they opened fire on the law enforcers.

During the special operation, an IED detonated, which the militants intended to use in a terror act. This was reported today at 11:25 a.m. Moscow time by the RIA "Novosti" with reference to a source from the Dagestani law enforcement bodies.

According to law enforcers, the man, who was killed in the explosion, was identified as Islam Atiev, suspected of involvement in the murders committed in the Khasavyurt District, including the murder of a minor girl committed on December 5.
