Rushan-Khazrat Abbyasov sees no Islamic context in murder of female healer in Kabardino-Balkaria

A murder of a person is a crime regardless of the kind of his or her activity, both from the position of the Russian laws and the position of Islam. This was stated by Rushan-Khazrat Abbyasov, the head of the administration of the Russian Council of Muftis (RCM), when he commented on the murder of a female healer in Kabardino-Balkaria and on the suspicions of involvement of members of armed underground in the murder, voiced by investigators.

Let us remind you that on December 24, in Kabardino-Balkaria, a local female resident, who was engaged in healing people with folk remedies, was murdered. The murder was witnessed by a 10-year-old child. Officials from the Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the investigating bodies claimed that the murder involved members of the armed underground, acting in the territory of the republic. While discussing the news, readers of the "Caucasian Knot" suggested that the murder had been committed out of religious motives.

Such a crime cannot be explained by any of Islamic traditions. And to associate any accident committed by residents of the Muslim republics with the religious context is an absurd. This was stated by Rushan-Khazrat Abbyasov, the head of the administration of the Russian Council of Muftis (RCM).

Rushan-Khazrat Abbyasov has noted that the crime should be considered in the context of the law and not in conjunction with ethnic origin or religious affiliation of the criminal.
