MfE: victim of explosion in Neftekumsk is under intensive care in critical condition

The person wounded at a car explosion in the city of Neftekumsk is in the intensive care unit of the district hospital. His evacuation is impossible for medical indications, says the Chief Department of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE). The businessman Sultan Ajakhmetov received numerous bodily injuries and lost his both legs, investigators report.

According to the local edition named "Neftekumsk.ru", the patient was urgently taken to Stavropol.

In connection with the explosion, a criminal case was opened under the articles of "attempted murder", "illegal manufacture of explosives" and "intentional damage to one's property by explosion", says the today's statement posted on the website of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation.

Let us remind you that, according to eyewitnesses, Ajakhmetov's car Chevrolet-Niva all the night was parked in the yard of the district administration. The bomb went off at the moment when the driver started the engine. The investigation does not consider the version of a terror act.
