Akhmedov: keeping weapon by Dagestan pensioner was investigated for two years
The investigating bodies of Dagestan are inquiring the case against the policeman, who had accused an 80-year-old pensioner from the Gumbet District of weapon possession. The police captain is suspected of abuse of power, unlawful entry into a dwelling and illegal arms trafficking, said the spokesman of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation) for the republic. The case against the pensioner is stopped, said Magomed Akhmedov, the head of the village of Nizhneye Inkho.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Prosecutor's Office of the Gumbet District had established that the police captain of the ROVD (District Interior Division) aiming to improve the statistics planted a grenade and a cartridge of a heavy machine gun on the 80-year-old of Nizhneye Inkho villager; and then reported to the on duty unit of the ROVD about the alleged crime disclosed by him. As a result, a criminal case was opened against the pensioner; and the police captain tried to persuade the old man to take the blame.
The case under the "weapons" article against the 80-year-old pensioner had been investigated for about two years, Magomed Akhmedov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to his story, the pensioner does not intend to sue for compensation for his moral harm.
