SC of North Ossetia cancels Ruslan Makoev's arrest
The Supreme Court (SC) of North Ossetia has ruled to cancel the arrest of Ruslan Makoev, accused of killing the deputy prosecutor Oleg Oziev as Stanislav Ailarov, Makoev's advocate, has reported today.
Let us remind you that Oleg Oziev, the deputy prosecutor of the Promyshlenny District of Vladikavkaz, was shot dead in central Vladikavkaz on October 23. On October 31, his friend Ruslan Makoev was summoned for questioning; and on November 1, he was arrested on suspicion of killing Oziev. Ruslan Makoev was charged with murder; while his advocate filed a complaint against his arrest.
The lawyer Stanislav Ailarov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that as of today Ruslan Makoev is at large; however, the charge against him has not been removed.
Ruslan Makoev's relatives claim that he was tortured after his arrest. Then, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) said that this information was being checked.
