Israpil Gadadov: Magomed Guchuchaliev, killed in Dagestan, shortly before his death retired as lawyer

In the evening on July 12, in the village of Semender, a suburb of Makhachkala, unidentified persons shot dead Magomed Guchuchaliev, the head of the Bar Association "Kavkaz". He was the father of Sirazhudin Guchuchaliev, detained by power agents on May 31 in the village of Leninkent.

About two months before he was killed, Magomed Guchuchaliev submitted documents to the Bar Chamber of Dagestan on the suspension of his lawyer's status, Israpil Gadadov, a lawyer from the Bar "Kavkaz", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"Recently he has been very much concerned about his son; nothing more has interested him. There are rumours that his murder could allegedly be beneficial for those whom Sirazhudin had 'slandered', in order to put pressure on the person under inquiry, but it's quite a stupid version. Everyone who needs it knows that detention of Said Amirov was not caused by Sirazhudin's evidence, because he had given none of it. He had no resonant cases in his porfolio. Perhaps it has something to do with the investigation into the murder of his colleague Umar Sagidmagomedov – the Bar conducted its own inquiry into the murder," an anonymous source from Magomed Guchuchaliev's retinue said.

According to a police source, Guchuchaliev had given Amirov away and told about links with him."

Let us note here that on March 11, 2012, special agents surrounded Magomed Guchuchaliev's house in the village of Semender. In the Facebook, in the group "Dagestani Advocacy", a lawyer Ziyavudin Uvaisov wrote that a storm of the house was allegedly prepared. "The reason could be in the defence of the lawyers from the Bar of persons accused of involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs)," said Uvaisov.
