Today, 200 persons attended an unsanctioned action held in Pugachov, a town in the Saratov Region, demanding to deport natives of Northern Caucasus. After the protest action, the local residents tried to block the highway Saratov-Samara, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.

The action was held in connection with the murder of a 20-year-old former soldier committed on July 6 near the cafe "Zolotaya Bochka" (Golden Barrel) in Pugachov. A 16-year-old teenager, who came from Chechnya, is suspected of the crime.

According to the story of a representative of the administration of the Pugachov District, the town residents gathered in the square near the administration building, and, in particular, they demanded to deport natives of Northern Caucasus out of Pugachov, the "Interfax" reports.

According to the information of the MIA for the Saratov Region, after the gathering of the citizens at the local administration, the meeting of the core group of the Pugachov District with representatives of the law enforcement bodies, the authorities and the local Chechen community with the participation of Said-Akhmed Elesov, the head of the representative office of the Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov in the Privolzhsky Federal District.

At about 04:00 p.m., according to the MIA's information, the local residents attempted to block the highway Saratov-Samara. After the preventive conversation with the participants of the protest action, the traffic was resumed.

Today, the court pronounced the pre-trial restriction measure to the 16-year-old native of Chechnya, suspected of the murder of the soldier, in the form of keeping in custody. The conflict between the young people was of domestic nature, the website of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reports.

To settle the conflict, an OMON (riot police) squad from the town of Balakovo was sent to the town of Pugachov, since the Pugachov militia failed to settle the conflict.
