Evkurov expressed readiness to go on working as Head of Ingushetia

Head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov is going to continue his work implementing his plans of social and economic development of the republic outlined earlier, he said in an exclusive interview to the “Caucasian Knot”.

“If the political decision is taken (by federal center – note by the “Caucasian Knot”) today I am certainly ready to go on working with the same eagerness for my people and my republic implementing the plans on the agenda”, Evkurov emphasized.

Besides, today the “Caucasian Knot’s” own sources disclaimed the information that Moscow intended before the Olympics that will be held in Sochi in February of 2014 to replace several regional leaders in Northern Caucasus and President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov will be the first on this list.

Yunus-Bek Evkurov considers improvement of the situation with the armed conflict still lasting in Northern Caucasus one of the major achievements during the whole period of his work. Evkurov thinks that it was by means of joint efforts of power ministries and the community that such results were achieved. “We got significant information about the leaders of gangsters’ underground. In 2010, 80% crimes were detected or prevented thanks to the calls from the population”, Head of Ingushetia said.
