Temerkhanov’s attorney appealed against the resolution of dismissal of the jury on the case of Budanov’s murder

Today defense of the defendant on the case of murder of ex-colonel Yuri Budanov appealed against the resolution of judge of Moscow city court Andrey Korotkov of dismissal of the jury, Yusup Temerkhanov’s attorney Murad Musaev reported.

It should be reminded that on February, 13, Moscow city court dismissed the jury on the case of Yuri Budanov’s murder granting the prosecution’s motion. Before doing so, the judge declared that two jurymen quitted the jury, so, there remained only 11 members.

The appeal was submitted to Moscow city court and must be considered until forming a new jury, i.e. till March, 18.

Murad Musaev told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent that he considered dismissal of the jury unlawful and ungrounded, therefore he appealed against the judgement.

“The pretext for dismissal of the jury was two jurymen’s illness but the court could have adjourned the trial, waited until they recovered and accomplished consideration of the case against Temerkhanov”, the lawyer explained.
