FSB: criminal who shelled police building in KChR killed two locals

As reported by the spokesman of the local FSB, Dinislam Karakotov, who has shelled the police building in the Malokarachay District of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR), had shot two locals before he was killed.

According to the local FSB, Dinislam Karakotov had attacked the residents of the Malokarachay District and took possession of their car. After that, while moving through the village of Uchkeken, he shelled the building of the Malokarachay ROVD (District Interior Division) from a submachine gun.

The police began chasing him; and in the shooting the criminal was shot dead.

The Department of the Russia's Federal Security Bureau (FSB) for the KChR has reported that Karakotov was a member of the gang of Islam Uzdenov, who was killed during a special operation in December 2011. The gang was involved in the attacks on the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Stavropol Territory and the KChR, as a result of which three policemen were killed, the FSB reports.
