Earthquake in Adzharia damages about 90 buildings

Administration of the city of Kobuleti in Adzharia counts the buildings damaged by the earthquake and to be repaired. According to its information, in the very city, 23 buildings were damaged, and in the whole region about 90 buildings were damaged.

Officials from the administration of the Kobuleti District of Adzharia, the houses mostly affected by the earthquake were located in the surrounding villages of Tsikhisdziri, Achvistavi, and Sachino.

"The people who lived in the destroyed houses were accommodated by their neighbours and relatives prior to the moment when the city offered them temporary accommodations," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Gocha Bolkvadze, a resident of the city of Kobuleti.

The damaged buildings are to be repaired at the public expense.
