At trial on case against Ali Taziev, prosecutors' witness questioned on episode with explosion of bus in Nevinnomyssk

Today, at the court session, the North-Caucasian District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don considered the case against Ali Taziev, one of the leaders of the "Imarat Kavkaz" and questioned Aslanbek Muzhikhoev, a resident of Nazran, a prosecutors' witness.

According to the investigators' version, members of groupings organized by Ali Taziev were involved in a number of very serious crimes, including the explosion of a passenger bus in Nevinnomyssk in December 2007, the explosion near the building of the OVD (Interior Division) in Ingushetia in August 2009, and the attempt on Yunus-Bek Evkurov, the leader of Ingushetia.

Let us remind you that on May 13, the North-Caucasian District Military Court started hearings on the case against Ali Taziev, also known under the nickname "Magas". Ali Taziev is charged of organizing and leading illegal armed formations (IAFs). At the trial, he has stated that he pleads guilty in part.

Testimony of the witness Aslanbek Muzhikhoev, who has been questioned today, are related to Ruslan Kostoev and Zurab Tsuroev, residents of Ingushetia, sentenced to 24 and 23 years of imprisonment, respectively, for blowing up of the passenger bus "Pyatigorsk-Stavropol" committed at the bus station in Nevinnomyssk on December 9, 2007. Aslanbek Muzhikhoev stated that he had been personally acquainted with Ruslan Kostoev and Zurab Tsuroev.

After questioning the witness, at the prosecutors' motion, the court proposed to examine the evidences in the case.
