Musa Kadyrov, referee from Chechnya, fined by 500,000 roubles

Musa Kadyrov, a football referee, who was suspended for lifetime from refereeing after his fight with a football player, was fined 500,000 roubles by the decision of the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU). For participating in the incident, Ilya Krichmar, a football player of the "Amkar" FC, was disqualified for four matches of youth championship and fined 15,000 roubles.

The decisions with regard to Musa Kadyrov and Ilya Krichmar were made at the today's meeting of the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (CDC of the RFU). This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by the RFU officials. They have added that Musa Kadyrov himself did not participate in the meeting, since he failed to get air tickets.

Speaking at the meeting, Arthur Grigoryants, the head of the CDC of the RFU, has stated that the guilty referee is obliged to pay a fine of 500,000 roubles in person, without the help of the Football Federation of Chechnya.

Arthur Grigoryants has also emphasized that Ilya Krichmar has been disqualified only for the youth championship matches and that the football player will be able to take part in the matches of the core team.

The head of the CDC of the RFU has stated that the CDC's decision is final, but it can be challenged. Arthur Grigoryants has added that in general, the CDC has no complaints about the organization of the match.

Meanwhile, Arthur Grigoryants has emphasized that in this case, the maximum possible penalties were applied against Ilya Krichmar and Musa Kadyrov, since the CDC "took into account all the provisions of the Disciplinary Rules, the report of the delegate and the inspector of the match and arguments of the parties." According to the version of Arthur Grigoryants, "the incident was of local nature and was called by mutual provocation," the official website of the RFU reports.

Alexander Bubnov, a football expert, a former defender of the Moscow "Spartak" FC, said that punishment of Musa Kadyrov was inadequate.

"The CDC pronounced to harsh punishment of Musa Kadyrov and too soft punishment of Ilya Krichmar," Alexander Bubnov told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. The football expert has stressed that the lifetime suspension from refereeing is a very serious punishment, and, besides, Musa Kadyrov "is also to pay a huge fine", while Ilya Krichmar is to pay "only 15,000 roubles".

The football expert has added that Ilya Krichmar should take into account "the mentality of mountain people".

Georgy Cherdantsev, a football commentator, believes that the incident was initiated by Ilya Krichmar. Commenting on the video record of the incident, the football commentator has noted that the referee had not beaten the football player and only pushed him and "accompanied him with leg", the "Sovetsky Sport" (Soviet Sport) reports.

Musa Kadyrov has publicly apologized to the Russian Football Union for his actions. "I would like to apologize to the RFU for the incident. My punishment is appropriate to my act," the "Sport-Express" quotes Musa Kadyrov as saying.

Meanwhile, the referee refused to apologize to the beaten football player and also rejected the potential apologies of Ilya Krichmar.
