North Ossetia: Cossacks take part in CTO

Cossacks of the Terek Cossack Army are invited to maintain order during the counterterrorist operation (CTO), conducted in a number of dwelling settlements of North Ossetia.

"Cossacks from the Terek Cossack help in maintaining order in settlements – they are guarding schools, which work in the normal mode," said a source from law enforcement bodies.

The CTO regime introduced on March 4 in North Ossetia is still in force – as of 5:00 p.m. on March 12, it covered the territory of three settlements of the Prigorodny District of North Ossetia – the village of Tarskoe, Verkhni Komgaron and Nizhni Komgaron, and adjacent forest massifs along the administrative border with the Republic of Ingushetia.
