Policemen search for folk healer's killer in Dagestan

The folk healer, who was killed on March 10 in Dagestan, was an invalid, engaged in making amulets. A special operative plan was introduced in the republic with the aim to find the offender.

The killer came home to the healer as a patient and fired several shots at him, and then disappeared. The healer was shot in the head and chest and died on the spot.

According to a statement posted on the website of the MIA of Dagestan, the shots were fired from an unknown pistol; and policemen found three 9 mm cartridges in the place.

The murdered Magomedrasul Kurbanov was engaged in making amulets, the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) writes on its website.

On February 4, the private house in the village of Sabnova, Derbent District, where the folk healer Yashar Gasanov lives, was shelled. An explosive device was then attached to the door, which was later defused by sappers.

In 2012, in Dagestan, at least three local residents involved in alternative medicine were killed.
