In Kabardino-Balkaria, mother of Aslan Kunashev, beaten by policemen, claims that her son was not alcoholically intoxicated at his detention

Aslan Kunashev, a resident of the village of Anzorei of the Lesken District of Kabardino-Balkaria, injured during the detention by policemen for driving while being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, was sober at the time of his detention. This was stated by his mother Zarema Kunasheva.

She has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Aslan Kunashev is still on sick leave.

"We had a great sorrow. Recently, my sister-in-law died, who had not even celebrated her fortieth birthday. We were in mourning. You know, at our region, people do not drink alcoholic beverages during mourning. Meanwhile, Aslan was accused that he was not only driving while being alcoholically intoxicated, but also while being under influence of drugs. However, should that be true, so why they did not examine him. It would be easier to take his blood sample and to order him to breathe into a tube rather than beating him," Zarema Kunasheva stated.

The woman reported that on that day, her son Aslan Kunashev after his work was travelling from Nalchik to home to the village of Anzorei. In the vicinities of Argudan, the GIBDD (road police) officers stopped him and told him to enter their car.

According to the Aslan Kunashev's mother, on the way to Nalchik, where policemen drove her son, they threatened him to erase him from the face of the earth. According to Zarema Kunasheva, a police officer, sitting in the back seat of the car, grabbed Aslan's neck and tried to strangle him. Another police officer hit him to his chest and broke his sternum.

In Nalchik, Aslan Kunashev was placed in a detention ward. There, according to his mother, he was visited by men in masks, who again beat him.

According to Zarema Kunasheva, the Aslan's car was driven to the penalty parking lot, and he himself was fined 100 roubles for the fact that he was allegedly driving without a driving license.

According to the Aslan Kunashev's mother, the documents of her detained son were in the glove box of his car, from where they were taken out by the GIBDD officers on the other day.
