Workers of "Dagestansteklotara" claim three-month wage arrears

Workers of the glass factory in the city of Dagestanskie Ogni did not receive wages for three months. In October, the enterprise began to pay wages for July. This was reported by workers of the factory.

"We have no more strength to endure that. The situation is extremely difficult for those families where husband and wife work together at the factory," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a worker of the LLC (Limited Liability Company) "Dagestansteklotara", who preferred to remain anonymous.

He has added that the wage of ordinary workers reach 5000-6000 roubles.

"The attitude towards the workers is simply inhuman, and there is no lighting in the workshops. Earlier, wage arrears occurred; however, I do not remember such long-term ones. It is not easy to meet the Director. It is impossible to file a complaint. In late September, he (the Director) himself attended the meeting in the workshop. When we asked him about wages, he answered that he took a loan to open a new bottle workshop, and then he needed to pay it back. And he offered the indignant workers to write letters of resignation on their own free will," the worker said.

The man told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the workers of the factory did not filed complaints to law enforcement authorities for fear of losing their jobs, since the city offered no jobs at other places.

The factory has wage arrears; however, it plans to pay off wage arrears till October 15. This was reported by Ismet Lachinov, Chairman of the trade union committee of the factory.
