KBR's Supreme Court cancels decision of separate proceedings in case against Sarabi Seiyunov
The Judicial Board on Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has cancelled the court's decision of separate proceedings in the case of defendant Sarabi Seiyunov, accused of the attack on Nalchik, committed on October 13, 2005. The defendant Sarabi Seiyunov will be returned to the process.
On November 24, 2011, the case against Sarabi Seiyunov was separated because of his decease of pulmonary tuberculosis. Sarabi Seiyunov was on in-patient treatment at the hospital of the Department of Federal Penitentiary Service (known as FSIN) of the KBR.
According to the court's decision, the defendant should be returned to the process. According to lawyers, Sarabi Seiyunov will be presented the minutes of all court sessions and materials of the case, which were examined during that period.
In the event, if the case against Sarabi Seiyunov is considered separately, a new trial shall be conducted and all the witnesses and victims shall be re-summoned.
