Trial on Ismail Bostanov's murder case completes pleadings

On August 6, the Supreme Court of Karachay-Cherkessia is to pronounce the verdict in the case of the murder of Ismail Bostanov, a well-known religious figure, the rector of the Islamic Institute, Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR) and Stavropol.

On September 20, 2009, Ismail Khadji Bostanov was killed on the outskirts of Cherkessk. There are five defendants in the case, including Rashid Blimgotov, the former head of the administration of the Nizhnyaya Teberda rural settlement, Nazbi Adzhiev, Imam of Kislovodsk, Salavat Gandaev, the ex-member of the electoral commission of the Karachay District, Ramazan Beridev, Assistant Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the KChR and the Stavropol Territory, and Taulan Temirov.

On Monday, July 30, the Supreme Court of Karachay-Cherkessia completed pleadings in the case of the murder of Ismail Bostanov. The sentencing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Moscow time on August 6, the "Interfax" reports.

There are 22 aggrieved persons in the case of the murder of Deputy Mufti, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
