IVS head and his son assassinated in Ingushetia

At night on July 28, in the Ingush village of Psedakh, the head of the temporary detention facility (known as IVS) of the city of Malgobek and his son were shot dead by unidentified persons.

"According to preliminary data, at about 11:40 p.m. Moscow time, a message was received that in the yard of his house Maksharip Peshkhoev, born in 1961, and his son Islam, born in 1993, were shot dead by unidentified persons," said the spokesman of the Investigatory Department for Ingushetia of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The father and son died from their wounds on the spot, the "Interfax" reports.

According to the source, Police Major Peshkhoev headed the IVS of the Malgobek Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

According to the ICRF, the private house of the Peshkhoevs is situated in Visaitov Lane in Psedakh village. "The venue is now studied by investigators; the opening of a criminal case is considered," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the source.
